Our Story
At laundry1st.com, we believe that washing and folding clothes should be convenient, affordable, and stress-free. That's why we started our business with a mission to provide exceptional laundry services to our community.
How we Wash
Detergent
When placing an order, you have 3 detergent options:
Gain
All free & clear/hypoallergenic
Zum (Natural with essential oils)
Temperature
Our Laundry Pros wash clothes in cold water, and dry on low-medium heat; never high heat. As recommended by laundry experts.
Fabric Softener
Fabric softener is not recommended because it damages fabrics and shortens the life of clothes. We add distilled white vinegar to the rinse cycle for added softness.
Brightening
You can choose to add Oxi-Clean Or baking soda to your wash for an all natural brightening.
Specialized packing
Pack by Family Member
We do our best to pack laundry by family member and item type, neatly packed in individual plastic bags, so it's easy for you to put away. Feel free to include any special requests in "special instructions" and/or message your Laundry Pro.
Laundry Bags
You can put your laundry out for pick-up in any disposable bag or laundry bag (which will be returned laundered) Also, for purchase are our heavy duty 28" x 40" laundry bags with handles.
Unsafe or Unsanitary Laundry
We do not service unsafe or unsanitary laundry. Before you place an order, you will be asked to certify that your laundry: is safe and does not include bed bugs, fleas, roaches, or biohazard materials. Is sanitary and does not include feces, urine, blood, or vomit, beyond traces normally found in household laundry. And no excessive pet hair.
Violators laundry will be returned "as is", and the account may be closed.
Procedures
- Customers place their orders online or by phone for their preferred pick up time
- 6-8 am, 11-1 pm, or 6-8 pm (will be delivered in 24 hours)
- Customers chose detergent preference , also add any specific instructions for their Laundry Pro
- If you live. in a gated community, please leave us gate access information.
- Sit your laundry by your front door (or other designated pick-up location) we will tag your laundry with your name , Address & phone number)
- Customers recieve a message when their laundry has been picked up and returned.
Receipt: After your laundry is washed, dried, folded, packed and weighed, your credit card / debit will be charged for any additional fees on the 10 lb minimum charge that was charged up front. You will be emailed a receipt.
- Verifying weight: You can easily weigh the bag at home with a standard bathroom scale. First, just weigh yourself, then agian while holding each bag. Subtract one from the other and you'll get the weight of each bag of laundry.
